TellThem and Basement has working together with Bandung Urban Farming project, called 'Berkebun.bdg'. This project is about using a negative space in urban area to be more productive and also educative to the people who living in the city it self. We grow the plantation and vegetable but also have fun with learning how to plant it. The city has already too stress full by the meaning of less space to be as a relaxing area and this is how we deal with the reality. We just make it by our self! This global public initiative project has been running in several cities in Indonesia. You can access to www.indonesiaberkebun.org to be a part of the movement. Let's plant it, or as we say, NGEBON YU!

TellThem will be participate in Recreate x reality x representation, the 3rd 15x15x15 exhibition, that organized by KGB ( Keluarga Grafis Berseni) ITB. This exhibition is unique due to it’s particular rules : the size of the artworks is not more than 15x15x15 cm. the first and the second mini art project that curated by Albert Yonathan was held in 2007 and 2008 titled “scale” which focuses on how artist compromise with the size of the artworks and “Metaphoria” that focusing in the discourse of metaphor. This time,curate by Sally Texania, the problem of ‘representation’ is offered as the big theme to be responded by the participant.

The process of making art can be seen as man’s effort to approach reality. The development of new way of representation is important due to it’s function as human’s effort to interpretating and examinate reality. This needs encourage the fostering of alternative theories and modes of representation. Seeing the problem of representation as a basic issues in the process of art creation , 15x15x15 Mini Art Project no # 3 : Recreate x Reality x Representation intend to summarize young bandung artists visions where the artist could depart from the interest of media, technology and knowledge. This exhibition intend to offer recent way of seeing realities of young artist, and examinate of today’s artists point of interest.

Considering the enthusiasm from two previous exhibitions, this exhibition intend to have a broader participant. Over 150 artworks of various medium from 70 artists will be featured in this exhibition.

Opening : June 4th 2010 at 7.30 pm
