Based in Indonesia, SUBCOLLECTIVE is an alternative media which is dedicated as a place for talented local artists to feature and to promote their artworks unlimitedly and widely to the art-collectors and art-enthusiasts.
Being rooted from street-art or public-room-art, SUBCOLLECTIVE tries to be an answer for a never-ending debate that does exist in an art-world, whether street/urban-arts that are transformed from walls-aside-the-streets can be classified into a real-art and be displayed in art-galleries. Or else, they have to remain to be only sketch-on-walls.
There is a debate that narrows the community’s movement-room, that makes their arts barely to be recognized by art-enthusiasts and collectors. Thus,SUBCOLLECTIVE comes in presence to bridge these-hidden-rare-talents and presents them to extensive public.

“ We love bandung, but bandung loves affairs “.

D*Face joined in the Oscar Celebrations with these Anatomical Statues the UK based artist sprinkled around LA in time for the award ceremony last weekend. “‘Beauty is one snip away’, and “Beauty is skin deep.” adorned the statues, an obvious play on the superficial values of Hollywood and its biggest event.

In the most recent issue of The Sunday Times, artist Banksy did not only create the cover art, but the magazine also published a 6 page interview with him.
“Readers of the The Sunday Times in the UK were greeted with a six-page spread on Banksy including a question and answer session with the stealthy street artist. The interview ended up being quite insightful despite the fact that he talks in his usual tongue-in-cheek manner about museums, CCTV, his reasons for anonymity, his hypocrisy, his family, his art background, his collection, and sure to disappoint fans everywhere, he says – “I won’t be doing any more big gallery shows for a while, it’s all a bit dodgy. I’ve come into contact with a lot more villains since I moved from vandalism into selling paintings. The art world is full of shady people peddling bright colours.” It’s perhaps this distrust of the art world that led to the way his film “Exit Through the Gift Shop” turned out and also to the creation Pest Control, an entity that still refuses to authenticate his artwork that is taken off the streets by speculators.”

Hello again people. There might still some bugs in this site, since it’s not done yet. But i feel like launching it today, so yeah, here i am, launching it. Please welcome, the brand new TEMBOKBOMBER.
Just a simple and quick introduction, this new TEMBOKBOMBER is not just a single blog like it used to be. It is now also an aggregator of some selected blogs. We handpick the blogs we like ourselves. And from time to time, we will update the list. So if you want your blog to be on the list of the aggregated blogs, here’s some hints : update your blog regularly, and . Check the Blogroll list on the sidebar, to check the list of current aggregated blogs.
Oh and the FORUM is back, too. Unfortunately, some stupid assholes didn’t do their homework to backup the old forum database, so if you were a member of the old forum, you’ll have to register again. C’mon, kid, don’t be a lazy ass.
Okay that’s it for now. Maybe there will be an official launching later in the near future, and some boring speeches, too, i don’t know. But for now, enjoy the site.
