TellThem was invited by Barli Museum to participate in an exhibition to respond about HIV/AIDS.
The opening ceremony will be held on December 5th @ Barli Museum, Bandung. ID

Menurut laporan kasus HIV/AIDS yang direlease oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Indonesia sampai dengan September 2009, sebanyak 2332 kasus baru ditemukan sepanjang january-september 2009. Secara kumulatif, kasus HIV/AIDS sejak 1 January 1987 sampai dengan 30 September 2009 dilaporkan sebanyak 18442 kasus dan 3708 kasus meninggal dunia.
Dan berdasarkan golongan umur, kasus yang menimpa kalangan muda (20-29 tahun) tercatat paling tinggi dengan angka 9142 kasus. Fakta tersebut merupakan kasus yang teridentifikasi, belum termasuk penderita HIV/AIDS yang belum diketahui dan diyakini terdapat dalam jumlah besar.

Epidemi HIV/AIDS yang semakin ganas diiringi meningkat tajamnya jumlah kasus merupakan indikator yang mengkhawatirkan, sepatutnya mendapatkan perhatian serius di masyarakat. Meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan mengenai penyakit menular ini melalui pendidikan dan advokasi masyarakat merupakan sebuah urgensitas dengan tujuan mencegah penyebaran epidemi ini lebih luas lagi. Jika tidak, maka stigma, diskriminasi dan ketidaktahuan akan tetap menjadi kendala bagi upaya penanggulangan lebih jauh. Dan generasi anak cucu kita yang akan menanggung seluruh akibatnya ..

Museum Barli bekerjasama dengan beberapa seniman lukis, street artist, graphic designer dan photographer akan menggelar pameran bersama sebagai bentuk kepedulian mereka terhadap isu HIV/AIDS.
