For those who don't know, 'Garis' means Lines. This time we -and again with Astronautboys- decided to play around with lines because it's the fundamental of our artworks. Trying to understand the lines more better to develop them into whatever imagined with our own different styles. As you can see I've also done some letters using the same basics that I do with my characters. Well it's not a fancy wildstyle or a 3D (lol), but for me it's all about understanding the lines to make it my identity.

Early November, me and astronautboys planned to do character mix on the wall.
At the same tome, my old friend from Jakarta, Morden was visiting the town.
So we arranged a painting session together.
Bandung, 2009.

I don’t know if it was a bad day for painting or what, but few things went unexpected.
First, the weather wasn’t friendly and next we lost our mood in the process
for some reasons. Of course the painting wasn’t all that bad,
but it was different from what we’ve planned.

The Yellow Dino was invited for the second time to be one of the presenter on PechaKucha Night.
This time the venue held at the historical Gedung Merdeka,
Museum Konferensi Asia Afrika, Bandung.

Few words about PechaKucha.. PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003
as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds
of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide.

Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”,
it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds.
It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
